We have briefly discussed the very important concepts of home designing and how they are integrated to give you the final result. Home designing can be a very complex process depending on what type of space you are working with. If you are starting from scratch, such as a new construction home, or you may be in a renovating process in which you want to tear down and upgrade existing space, the process details change accordingly. This is where our professionals come in and can assist you with keeping your focus on the final result and choosing the appropriate quality products that we have available. As discussed previously, the five main stages to our process of designing are essential for our team to get you from start to finish, satisfied. Let's discuss this process more closely.
Conceptual development
This
is an early stage in which the main focus is to create a direction for the
project. It will further create the fundamentals for making all the right
designing decisions solely based on the customer’s need. It is at this stage
that we encourage our customers to discuss the “why” in needing an upgrade or
need for that space. That helps our professionals work with an understanding of
what our customer requires as the final product. For example, if there is some
sort of problem within this space, such as not enough storage area, or not
enough lighting or maybe, the customer wants more quality or modern furnishings,
all these details are critical in decision-making. Simply, all goals and
objectives of the design are discussed and agreed upon between the customer and
our experts. It further paves the process for developing all the right ideas to
solve any current design problems that need improvement.
Space Planning
Space planning is the next critical stage of the process. It all starts off with an in-depth analysis of how space will be used. The space use will help our experts understand customer needs as well as what products for the project will be the most appropriate. Furthermore, our experts will then define the zones of space and the activities that will be taking place in those zones. Defining circulation patterns will also be an important part of the plan so the movement of people through space is understood. Examples of details that are considered when creating a space include,
a) Room structure
b) Space perception
c) Space volume
d) Editing cluttering
